What is Invisalign

At Winchester Orthodontics PC we offer a full range of Invisalign treatment options. Invisalign treatment consists of a series of clear aligners that you switch out about every two weeks. Each aligner is individually manufactured with exact calculations to gradually shift your teeth into place. Invisalign allows us to move teeth without the traditional appearance of braces. In fact, most people can't even tell if you are wearing Invisalign aligners. Call us today to schedule an examination to discuss your treatment options.

What is the process?

At Winchester Orthodontics PC we take pride in being orthodontic specialists offering the highest quality orthodontic care. As specialists, we provide every patient with a comprehensive and state-of- the-art evaluation. Furthermore, we present every patient with an individualized treatment plan catered to his or her needs. Since a proper treatment plan is critical to the success of your orthodontic treatment with Invisalign, we will spend the necessary time with you to develop the best treatment plan possible. As such, the first step in the process is a comprehensive examination to evaluate the state of your occlusion, evaluate any problems that may exist, and discuss our recommendations for the best options for you. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and learn how we can help you achieve the beautiful smile that you desire. If Invisalign is the best option for you, diagnostic records and an intraoral scan will be performed to further develop your treatment plan. We then work with Invisalign to design and fabricate your aligners. Each set of aligners are typically worn for two weeks and we progress through the entire series until your teeth are straight. We periodically monitor your progress during this time to ensure that your teeth are moving properly and to make adjustments as needed.

What are attachments?

In order to improve the ability of aligners to move teeth, we can place tooth colored attachments (small bumps) on teeth to improve the grip of the aligners. They are made of a tooth colored composite material that is often difficult to see. Upon completion of treatment they are easily removed.

What is IPR?

Interproximal reduction (IPR) is the process in which we can create a small amount of space between your teeth to aid in our ability to align your teeth properly and reduce crowding.
